CARE AND MAINTENANCE
While weathering and color variation over time is natural for outdoor wood furniture, we recommend the following care for best results:
- Store your tiki bar indoors out-of-season or when not in use for extended periods of time. Ensure that the wood is completely dry before storage. While this product is made with weather-resistant materials, its useful life may be extended by storing the product indoors during inclement weather.
- Use gentle detergent and water to clean the bar countertop. Do not clean with harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.
- To clean the wood on the bar, use soap, water, and a natural-bristle scrub brush. For heavily soiled wood, use a chemical wood cleaner product and follow the cleaner manufacturer’s instructions. Oxygen Bleach or Vinegar and Soda can also be used:
- Oxygen Bleach: Mix powdered oxygen bleach with the bleach manufacturer’s recommended amount of water, work it into the wood with a natural-bristle brush, and rinse thoroughly.
- Vinegar and Soda: Use equal parts of white vinegar, warm water, and baking soda. Scrub the wood with a natural-bristle brush until clean and rinse thoroughly.
LONG-TERM CARE
- To revive weathered wood, sand and clean the wood to remove all debris and previous treatment. You can then apply a deck stain of your choosing. For best results, follow surface preparation and application instructions provided on the staining product.
